Gossip Girl, Bionic Woman, and Life
Last night we watched the series premiers of The Bionic Woman. I wasn’t that impressed to tell you the truth. I’ll give it another week and see if it can redeem itself.
We also watched Life. Pretty damn good, actually. My husband loved it and I think I know why. Monk and Psych are his all time favorite shows and Life kinda has that feel to it.
Did you miss Gossip Girl last night? No worries…you can watch Gossip Girl Episode 2, “The Wild Brunch” online. Ain’t the internet grand?

What Fall TV Shows are you looking forward to?
Is it just me or are there too many good shows coming out this Fall? My husband and I already have a few lined up that we plan to record and watch on the DVR. Pushing Daisies and Chuck are at the top of our list. But at the top of my must see TV list for this fall is Gossip Girl on The CW. And you guys already know this because I’ve been promoting my Gossip Girl site on here for weeks.
So what is Gossip Girl about, you ask? Well, Gossip Girl is based on an 11 book Young Adult series of by the same name. I startedreading these back when they first came out a few years ago and I can’t tell you how addictive they are. The bookscenteraround a group of rich preppy Upper East Side Manhattan kids whose scandalous lives are being reported by the anonymous “Gossip Girl” on her blog, gossipgirl.net. On the show, Gossip Girl will be played by Veronica Mars’ Kristen Bell and is only known by voice over. You never see her.
You have the gorgeous Serena who just breezed back into town after being mysteriously kicked out of boarding school. Her best friend Blair is not too happy to have her back in town because her boyfriend Nate is in love with Serena. Then there’s Chuck who is your resident bad boy who is absolutely the horniest kid in town. Dan is the boy from the wrong side of the tracks who is desperately in love with Serena. Dan’s little sister Jenny wants so badly to be in the “In Crowd” and will do whatever it takes to get there.
So if you like these types of “guilty pleasure” shows then Gossip Girl will certainly satisfy. The show is marketed toward teens but who cares about that. Shows like this keep me young.

High School Musical 2 thoughts
OK, so I know you all are just dying to know what I thought about High School Musical 2, right? Well, I did like it but I don’t know if I loved it. I was a tad disappointed. The first one was so much better, in my opinion. I felt that there wasn’t enough Troy and Gabriela and too much Troy and Sharpay. Gabriela was soooo boring in this! Just blah. Sharpay totally stole the show.
The soundtrack was just meh to me. The only songs I really loved was “You are the music in me” and “Everyday”.
I do admit that the dancing was great. Kenny Ortega did an awesome job with these kids. I especially loved Troy’s fancy footwork in the “Work it Out” number. That little shuffling thing right at the beginning was so James Brown. hehe
Oh, and the scene where Troy and Gabriela break up? Caroline, one of my 6 year old twins, started bawling. Crawled up in my lap and just buried her face in my shirt and cried her little eyes out. Once I assured her that the movie would end happily she calmed down. Broke my heart.
We will probably watch it a few more times over the weekend and of course there’s the sing along version airing Sunday night so that will be fun.
Did you watch? I’d love to know what you thought about the movie.
Yes, another post about High School Musical 2
Here’s a great review of High School Musical 2. OK, I promise no more HSM2 posts until tomorrow. Promise!
High School Musical 2
What time is it? It’s just about time for High School Musical 2! Less than 48 hours until we get to see little Zac and all the gang dance and sing their sweet little hearts out. Now come on, dear readers. This is BIG. I mean really big news. In case you haven’t noticed, High School Musical is hot right now. There is no age limit so don’t be shy to just admit that you enjoy the movie. Also, the High School Musical 2 Soundtrack came out this week. You know me and my girls will be jammin’ to that next week. I don’t want to listen to it before I see the movie. Kinda spoilery for me, know what I mean?
Speaking of little Zac Efron, have you seen the photo that was used on the latest cover of Rolling Stone?

So will you be watcing? Do you care? Are you wondering if I have a serious problem requiring medical attention?
