Fall is here in Louisiana!
Finally the cooler temps have arrived here in the deep south and I am so happy. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. Snuggling under blankets, drinking hot chocolate, baking lots of goodies…all fun stuff. I don’t even mind the shorter days. The one thing I don’t like about Fall is Halloween. I hate to say it but I am not a fan of this holiday. Never have. As a child I hated dressing up. Of course, I have 4 kids and they get into it big time so I have to just suck it up and suffer. This year should be fun though. We are going over to Maddie’s best friends house and going trick or treating her neighborhood. Hardly anybody in our neighborhood leaves their outdoor lighting on and you know the rule…if the porch light is off then they aren’t participating. I’m just so ready to get it all over with. Ick.
Oooo, Italy!
My husband and I always fantasize about what we would do if we won the lottery. He says that the first thing he would do would be to quit his job. Heck, I don’t blame him for that one bit. Me on the other hand, well, I’d want to travel. Ever since I saw that movie with Diane Lane, Under the Tuscan Sun, I’ve wanted to visit Italy. Of course, even if I had plenty of money I’d want to look into cheap hotels in Italy. Cheaperthanhotels.co.uk, offers awesome deals hotels all over the world. You can even get some great last minute deals if you need them. These are also five star hotels so you can’t go wrong with that.

Virtual Sandcastle

Hey, what do you think of my sandcastle? Isn’t it cute? If you want to build a sandcastle too then here is a cute little site that will allow you to do just that. It’s one of those neat drag and drop type things that my kids just love playing with. It was so easy and lots of fun! There are literally tons of options and accessories so that you can make the most luxurious virtual sandcastle at the virtual beach. I just told my kids about it and they are over on the other computer making their very own own sandcastle. I can see an new obsession forming in this house already. They just love these kind of games.
Once you are done creating your very own sand castle you will then be presented with the option of saving it and having it sent as an e-card to your family and friends. Here’s the e-card I created. It will also be on display in the Sandcastle Gallery. I browsed through the gallery a little bit and there are some really creative sand castles on display over there.
So what are you waiting for? Grab the kids, some a virtual bucket and shovel and build your own virtual sandcastle!
I have a Facebook profile but I really haven’t had time to fiddle around with it. It’s a little confusing to me but, then again, it took me a year to get the hang of myspace. If you’d like to add me, here’s my profile.
The Pioneer Woman Cooks!
Ree of Confessions of a Pioneer Woman has just announced her brand new cooking site, The Poineer Woman Cooks.
This woman has no clue who I am but I feel like we are old buddies. I just adore her and want to be her when I grow up. She updates her main blog about every other day or so and I look forward to every single word. She’s absolutely hilarious. My favorite posts are the ones where her Retarded Brother Mike is the main subject. Funny funny stuff! I love Mike too!
Now, she’s opened a cooking blog. Let me tell you, this woman knows how to cook. I’ve made her Marlboro Man Sandwich many a time for my Hubs and he loves it. I can’t wait to see what else she adds to the new blog.
So make sure you add her to your daily reads. You won’t be sorry.
Oh an I have to add a big thank you to Plain Jane Mom for first introducing me to Ree and her wonderful world on the ranch. PJM is also a “must have” on your blogroll so be sure to go check her out as well.
Yo Car
I’ve been known to call my van “the trashcan on wheels”. With 4 kids is so hard to keep my van clean. I would love to trade it in for something brand spanking new and get some car interior accessories to spiff it up. Yo Car.com sells everything you need for your car’s interior. They have everything from wood dash kits to grilles and spoilers. They cater to several car models so you should certainly be able to find something to fit your needs. They also have video’s to show you how to install their products. So if you’re interested in making your vehicle the best it can be then I suggest you check out Yocar.com.

How cool is this???
Remember when I posted about Babblz, a great new social site for parents and the drawing for delicious gift basket they were going to be having? Well guess who won? If you guessed me then you’d be correct. I’ve never won anything randomly in my entire life. This is so cool! Thank you Kendra and The Big Guy!
Confessions of a Pioneer Woman
I found the most delicious blog thanks to a link that Plain Jane Mom posted a couple of days ago.
Confessions of a Pioneer Woman
Go check out her recipes for her delicious looking strip steak sandwich and chocolate sheet cake. Oh and then there’s her lasagna. Holy Moly. Why do I have to be on Weight Watchers right now?
And other than cooking she’s a pretty daggum good writer too. Definitely looking forward to reading more about her life on the ranch.
Thanks for the linky, PJM!
