What is the deal?
There’s nothing like getting calls from 2 calls from the school about 2 different kids. First Maddie’s homeroom teacher called because Maddie forgot to get me to sign some stupid paper about some stupid poster they have to have on Monday. She wanted to make sure I knew about it. I informed her that YES I did know about it and YES she would have the poster on Monday and that I am just scatterbrained and forgot to sign the paper. The kids only bring home like 4,948 pieces of paper for me to read every single day. Each.? I am so sick of it.
The next call has me a little more worried. Caroline’s teacher (1st grade) called to tell me that Caroline was having a really bad day. Refusing to do work, being hard headed, and basically just being Caroline. She had to keep her in from recess because she was being so bad. She even put her on the phone so I could talk to her and she was sobbing. She promised she would be a good girl and do what her teacher asked.
So. How’s your day going?
Reese's, Kit Kats, and Butterfingers, OH MY
Happy Halloween, y’all.
Welcome to the House of Chocolate. Oh. MY. God. I have never seen so much candy in my entire life. Maddie’s best friend invited us to go Trick or Treating in her neighborhood tonight and let me tell you, that “hood” knows how to do Halloween. All the houses were decorated with scary stuff and everyone was having parties in their carport for the kids. So much fun! I think we walked about 5 miles, though. My legs are killing me. I’m going to have to hide all this candy. Between 4 kids there’s about 20lbs of the stuff here. I kid you not.
Even though I’m physically exhausted, I’m wide awake. Think all that chocolate has anything to do with it? That’s ok because I have plenty to do. I want to do a little research for one of my online projects and catch up on my blog reading.
Stay tuned for my October Blogging Income report in the next couple of days. While I didn’t make as much as I did last month, I hit some major milestones and can’t wait to share them.
Jonas Brothers TV series in the works!
My 9 year old daughter is going to FREAK. OUT.
Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas will star in a live-action spy comedy titled “J.O.N.A.S.,” which is set to go into production early next year. They play government sleuths — a.k.a. Junior Operatives Networking as Spies (J.O.N.A.S.) — who thwart evil while working undercover as a superstar teen rock band. The number of episodes has yet to be determined.
Currently in production in Toronto is “Camp Rock,” a music-filled original movie that will premiere on the cable channel next summer. The Jonases play members of a leading musical group, Connect 3, who are celebrity guest counselors at a prestigious summer camp for aspiring musicians.

I'm sick of birthday parties
Dear, My Kids’ Little Friends,
Please stop inviting my children to your birthday parties. They ruin my weekend. I like to be lazy and do nothing on the weekends but if you are having a party and invite my child then that sorta screws with my lazy time, now doesn’t it? I don’t give a flyin’ flip if you’re having one of those inflatable things, pony rides, or whatever else. I’m tired of driving my kids all over town for birthday parties every weekend. We had 2 last weekend and this weekend is 2 more. I’m serious. Stop it.
Of course, if we are having a birthday party then I expect your little booty to be there.
Hannah Montana Tickets. SOLD OUT
Yesterday, the ticket’s to see Hannah Montana here in my town went on sale to the general public at 10:00 am. They were completely sold out by 10:10.
What’s sad is that a huge block of the tickets were sold to ticket brokers who are now selling them on ebay and other places for hundreds of dollars.
I cannot tell you how happy I am that I bit the bullet and joined the stupid fan club so we could get our tickets during the presale. After the High School Musical and Cheetah Girls concert disappointments this was my chance to redeem myself in my daughter’s eyes. Turns I’m the coolest mom evarrrrrrr now.
Why I had a cruddy weekend
So, how was your weekend?
Back to school 2007
Well, my kids have been back to school for a whole week now and things are going pretty well. They really haven’t given them any homework yet so I’ve had it pretty easy. Of course, with going back to school that means they are exposed to germs that make them sick. Wouldn’t you know it that Jacob had to miss on Friday due to ear and throat problems and Caroline came down with a nasty vomit virus. I’m praying my heart out that the rest of us don’t get it. The sad thing about it is that little Caroline had perfect attendance last year and we were looking forward to seeing if she could make it another year without missing any school. Right now she’s all hunkered down with a cup of Gatorade and watching High School Musical 2.
Here’s our traditional first day of school picture that I’m a week late posting. How ’bout them fake smiles? I threatened them within an inch of their little lives (chill, I’m kidding. Kinda.) if they made any funny faces or whatever. We were running very late and I did not have time for nonsense.

Nerves? What are those?
I just got back from school shopping with the children. All 4 of them. It was absolutely dreadful. I really should have gone by myself but I needed them there to try on stuff. It’s almost worth it to just buy the stuff, bring it home for them to try on, and return whatever doesn’t fit. All they did the entire time was gripe and whine. Is 3:15 too early for a cocktail?
