Merry Day After Christmas
OMG. AM SO TIRED.
Yesterday was non-stop action here at the Java household. The kids went crazy for their Wii and it’s pretty much all they did yesterday. The TV was never on the regular channels. All we did was bowl, play golf and box. We also Boogied
down quite a bit too.
Today the husband goes back to work and the kids want to go spend all their giftcards and christmas money that other family members gave them. I swear they have more money than I do!

I didn't forget!
Well I almost did.? I nearly forgot to do my NaPoBloMo post!? Nothing much has been going on today.? I’ve been busy running the roads, taking care of kids, housework, helping with homework, making meals, dealing with bills, just the usual.? See, even though I have all these blogs I’m still able to take care of my family and household responsibilities.
Imagine, that.
Anyway, speaking of blogs.? I’m thinking about selling a couple of domain names that are just sitting and collecting dust.? Not sure if I’ll make much off them if anything but it doesn’t hurt to try.? I did do an online domain name appraisal on one of them and the website told me it was valued at over $1600.? Wouldn’t that be sweet.? I’ll keep you posted.
Happy Birthday, Sis
37 years ago today my little 4 year old world fell apart forever as my status as the only precious girl in the family came to a screeching halt.
Go tell my sister Happy Birthday, why don’t ya?? She’s had a rough week.? Those kids of hers are driving her apeshit and won’t let her sleep.
Sooooo
It’s been a busy week. I’ve been dealing with lots of sickness in this house and I’ve just about had enough. It’s funny. Not only have I had a wretched stomach virus but I’ve also managed to catch a nasty head cold. Of course, I don’t get any sick days. I just have to keep on plugging along like the energizer bunny. If I didn’t then no one would eat, they wouldn’t have clean clothes and you wouldn’t be able to walk because the floors would be coverd in crap the kids have left laying around. The husband is also sick right now. He’s been in bed for 2 days. We have the same thing. What is wrong with this picture. Makes me want to go on strike and run off to a New York Bed and Breakfast and get the hell away from it all. Hmmph.
Why I had a cruddy weekend
So, how was your weekend?
Do you want to see something really cute?
Then go check out my sister’s blog. I think I might die from all this cuteness.

Back to school 2007
Well, my kids have been back to school for a whole week now and things are going pretty well. They really haven’t given them any homework yet so I’ve had it pretty easy. Of course, with going back to school that means they are exposed to germs that make them sick. Wouldn’t you know it that Jacob had to miss on Friday due to ear and throat problems and Caroline came down with a nasty vomit virus. I’m praying my heart out that the rest of us don’t get it. The sad thing about it is that little Caroline had perfect attendance last year and we were looking forward to seeing if she could make it another year without missing any school. Right now she’s all hunkered down with a cup of Gatorade and watching High School Musical 2.
Here’s our traditional first day of school picture that I’m a week late posting. How ’bout them fake smiles? I threatened them within an inch of their little lives (chill, I’m kidding. Kinda.) if they made any funny faces or whatever. We were running very late and I did not have time for nonsense.

Looking forward to Fall
School’s starting in a couple of weeks and it won’t be long before the weather turns crisp and Fall arrives. I love the cooler weather. I am not a summer person at all. It’s so humid and nasty down here in the summer. I look forward to all the things that Fall brings like oversized thick sweatshirts, hot chocolate, big fluffy comforters, etc… One of our favorite things to do as a family is roasting marshmallows and making smores in our outdoor fireplace. Well, it’s not a real fireplace with a mantel and everything. It’s just a thing my husband build out of bricks and we create bonfires in it. The kids love it and it’s making memories so that’s always a good thing.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow we are having a belated birthday party for Abby and Caroline. It’s going to be at a gym type place where they teach gymnastics, martial arts, dance, etc. They give the best parties. They have a couple of girls that take the kids through a variety of activities and at the end they play in in this huge play thing like they have at McDonalds. They are really excited since they invited all their school and church friends. We also invited our little 2 year old neighbor who they just adore. We just found out that they are moving at the end of the summer. Maddie came in and told me that a real estate agent came out a couple of days ago and put a sign up in their yard. She got so upset. They are gonna miss that little girl so much.
Happy Birthday Abby and Caroline!
6 years ago today I became the mother of twins. Even though in the beginning we were not quite thrilled with the idea of having twins these 2 little girls have been such a wonderful blessing in our lives. They may look exactly alike but they are totally different. Abby is the girly girl and Caroline is our little tomboy. I can’t imagine life without them.
At about 3 months

8 months old

I’m guessing they are about 2 here.

First pigtails

On their 3rd birthday. One of the few times they’ve dressed alike.

They had a little birthday money from the grandparents to spend so we hit Target for that. It’s was so funny because they both wanted to buy pajamas. They were just adamant about it. Who am I to argue, right? Hey, it won’t be long before they’re going to want really expensive things like def leppard tickets or something. Of course, they had to hit the toy section too so it wasn’t a total loss.
Here they are in their new jammies and their new Webkinz. Guess which one is the tomboy.
