I am so happy that David Cook won AI last night. This was probably the most emotional winning moment AI has ever had. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a contestant break down like that. He sooo deserved it. I have to admit that I thought David Archuleta had it in the bag, though. His fans did too. That is the smuggest (is that a real word?) bunch fans I’ve ever encountered on the AI boards. Don’t worry Archies. Disney will snatch him up and he’ll probably get his own tv show and become the next Hannah Montana or whatever. Little Archie will be fine. But I’ll be buying Michael Johns CD. How freaking hot was he last night. OMGZ.

The fact that I keep forgetting Syesha when I do my polls is not a good sign.

Wow. What a snoozer. Why they did Beatles songs again this week is just beyond me. I usually break my recap down by contestant but tonight was so bad that I just don’t have the strength to do it.

I do want to touch on a few things, though.

David Archuleta was not that good tonight. He bored me to tears. They way the judges fall all over him just puzzles me. If he wins how are they going to market this kid? To the tweens and teens? I don’t think so because he is so old fashioned. Will they buy his music? He’s not pop to me at all. And he has the personality of a doorknob. Of course, there’s the grandma set who want to just pinch him because he’s cute like a 4 year old. That alone just creeps me out.

David Cook was ok but I agree with Simon that he looked smug during his song and that it wasn’t as good as he [David] though it was. I was like look at him… he thinks he’s the shit. Did not like that voice effect he did at all.

Michael Johns got creamed by the judges. How disappointing since he is my fave. I will admit that he did hit one bad note but it was not nearly as bad as they made it out to be. The man has talent and crappy Beatles song or not you just can’t deny it. I hope that Michael will hurry up and pick the right damn song so they’ll all just shut up. They expect so much from him and in their opinion he is not living up to it.

The other 8? Boring, boring, boring.

I pray Kristy Lee Cook is the next to go.

Syesha Mercado. Sang “Got To Get You Into My Life.??? Not bad. Just not good. Boring and forgetable.

Chickezie. Sang “She’s a Woman.??? I have to say that I absolutely LOVED Chickezie’s performance. So happy that he got to have a his “moment”. I think he gained a lot of new fans last night.

Ramiele Malubay. Sang “In My Life.??? Major snoozefest.

Jason Castro. Sang “If I Fell.??? Sigh. It’s really hard to NOT like Jason but I wasn’t blown away. He’s cute and has TONS of fans so he’s going to be around for a good long while.

David Cook. Sang “Eleanor Rigby.??? Just wasn’t feeling it at all. It’s almost like he’s trying too hard. But the judges loved it so what do I know. Also, I do not find him attractive in the least. What? I’m a fangirl and I like cute boys. He is just not cute to me. Geesh.

Brooke White. Sang “Let It Be.??? Brooke was good but again I was bored too tears!

David Hernandez. Sang “I Saw Her Standing There.??? Ick. Not good at all.

Amanda Overmeyer. She slurred her way through the entire song. Horrible!

Michael Johns. Sang “Across the Universe.??? I loved it. Yes, I’m a fan but I thought he sang this perfectly. I am worried about Michael though. He still hasn’t had his “stand out” performance while others have. He’s not gaining any new fans that I can tell. I spend a lot of time on various Idol fan forums and this is just what I’m seeing.

Kristy Lee Cook. Sang “Eight Days a Week??? country style. God. Do I have to even say it? Horrid!

David Archuleta. Sang (sort of) “We Can Work It Out.??? OK, let’s see.. He forgot the words and he was flat and pitchy. Forgetting the lyrics during the final would be “The Kiss Of Death” for anybody else but little Davey isn’t going anywhere. That was one of the worst performances in Idol history in my book. And he even had the Pimp Spot (his 2nd time). What a waste! And yes, Archie fangirls, I know he was sick last week. No excuse. Suck it up.

My personal bottom 3? Syesha, Kristy, and Amanda with Kristy going home.

Overall, I am really happy with the Top 12. I have to admit that I am totally shocked that Danny Noriega didn’t make it. I really thought he would be around for a few more weeks simply because of the whole “Sanjaya Factor” he has going on and all. I wanted Asia’h over Kristy. Kristy is beyond boring to me. Was thrilled that Michael Johns made it. LOVE HIM. Yummy!

Was thrilled to see Robbie go but shocked about Alaina. I think America got it wrong. Amanda Overmyer is horrible! It should have been her.

Out of the contestants that remain who is your favorite?

Michael Johns – “Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac. I thought it was really good. He has a good stage presence and he is such a pro. The judges were a bit on the fence but I’m not worried about Michael this week. I feel he will be around for a good long while. Go Michael!

Jason Castro – “I Just Want to Be Your Everything” by Andy Gibb. UGH. I hated it. I loved Jason last week and this week I was just not impressed at all. And he has a very odd personality that I am just not feeling. He was one of my favorites but I just don’t know anymore. Very disappointed in Jason’s performance. Sorry, Dreadheads.

Luke Menard - “Killer Queen” by Queen. Damn Luke Menard is so freaking hot! He was much better this week but his fanbase is so small I don’t see him making top 12. He may be safe one more week.

Robbie Carrico – “Hot Blooded” by Foreigner. OK. I am about to go off on Robbie Carrico here. He is not a rocker, ya’ll. He is a former boy bander pretending to be a rocker. He has those awful Britney Spears hair extentions. Can’t you tell? It’s all puffy on top and then tapers down to this nasty mess of matted hair. But he is a racecar driver so he must be a rocker! Gross.

Danny Noriega – “Superstar” by the Carpenters. Sanjaya, Sanjaya, gonna set this place on Fiyah!

David Hernandez – “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” by the Temptations. David was very good tonight. I liked it. Go David!

Jason Yeager – “Long Train Runnin’” by the Doobie Brothers. Jason is a good singer. There is nothing wrong with Jason’s voice in my opinion. He is just not AI material. He needs to do some theater or something. Oh, and get rid of that blond streak in your hair. I hate it!

Chikezie – “I Believe to My Soul” by Donny Hathaway. Chickezie. Chickeeeeeezeeee. I love to say Chickezie. Chickezie was very good tonight.

David Cook – “All Right Now” by Free. I actually like David Cook’s performance tonight. He rocked it OUT, man. Very good. David is a true rocker unlike Robbie who is a complete fake and needs to go home.

David Archuleta – “Imagine” by John Lennon. David did a very good job tonight. He did. I loved his performance. But I’m gonna tell you this right now…. that “awww shucks” shit he does after every performance is getting old real quick. And his mama is already getting on my nerves. Such a stage mother. I can’t stand it. Note to camera man: Keep the camera off mom. She gets on my nerves. Note to David: Stop acting like you are shocked that people like your voice. It’s annoying. Note to David fans: I hope you break your cell phones! Note to David’s fans’ parents: I hope you cut off your daughters’ cell phone privileges!

My predictions on who is going home: Jason Yeager and Chickezie Eze

Was that a major snoozefest or what? Out of 12 guys only 3 are worth talking about. Honestly,I hate theme nights. I think they should be able to sing what they want this early in the competition. When they get to choose their own genre it helps us get a feel of who they are. But anyway, I am here to share my thoughts thoughts and opinions with you.
