Dear Self,

3 years ago when you got that horrible root canal, you knew good and well you were supposed to get that crown right away. But you didn’t. You kept saying you didn’t have the money. I totally understand that but you knew it was just a matter of time before a chunk of the tooth was going to break off and possibly take the 3 year old “temporary” filling with it.

I sure hope that white chocolate macadamia nut cookie was worth it.

Dear, My Kids’ Little Friends,

Please stop inviting my children to your birthday parties. They ruin my weekend. I like to be lazy and do nothing on the weekends but if you are having a party and invite my child then that sorta screws with my lazy time, now doesn’t it? I don’t give a flyin’ flip if you’re having one of those inflatable things, pony rides, or whatever else. I’m tired of driving my kids all over town for birthday parties every weekend. We had 2 last weekend and this weekend is 2 more. I’m serious. Stop it.

Of course, if we are having a birthday party then I expect your little booty to be there.

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been dealing with lots of sickness in this house and I’ve just about had enough. It’s funny. Not only have I had a wretched stomach virus but I’ve also managed to catch a nasty head cold. Of course, I don’t get any sick days. I just have to keep on plugging along like the energizer bunny. If I didn’t then no one would eat, they wouldn’t have clean clothes and you wouldn’t be able to walk because the floors would be coverd in crap the kids have left laying around. The husband is also sick right now. He’s been in bed for 2 days. We have the same thing. What is wrong with this picture. Makes me want to go on strike and run off to a New York Bed and Breakfast and get the hell away from it all. Hmmph.

Every year I am just amazed at the sheer nerve and audacity of some of the uppity parents at our school. It seems that there are certain parents that just do not feel that any rules that the principal makes couldn’t possibly apply to them.

For example. The Carpool Line.

Our school is situated on a corner. The rule is: enter the carpool line from the south end and just get yourself in line with the other rule following parents and if the line moves smoothly then your precious angel will be dropped off/picked up in just a matter of minutes. Now, sometimes it’s necessary to have to make the big block to enter the line and be a proper rule following parent. Well, it never fails that some snotty little bitch in her fancy SUV will attempt to enter the carpool line from the north end and cut in front of you because it’s just way too much trouble to have to drive down, make the circle and come back up from the south end and even though there’s the big RULE it just couldn’t possibly apply to her because that line is just way too long and oh look at me and how cute I am please let me in so what if I you’ve been waiting in line patiently I’m cute and perky and I have a big FAT SUV.

ARRGGHHHH

Can you tell, I’m a little bit perturbed right now?

This is every single year. All year. Every day. The school sends out note after note about this and people still continue to do it. I think it’s going to take a catfight in the parking lot to put a stop to it. Seriously. And for the record, I DO NOT let these people cut in front of me. They will start inching forward like they want me to stop and let them in front of me and I just refuse to do it. Follow the damn rules. Ya ain’t that special, honey.

My children and their constant screeching and fighting is about to put me over the edge. Thank goodness my tummy is feeling better because tonight I’m having a cocktail. Bedtime? Please hurry.

So, how was your weekend?

I just got back from school shopping with the children. All 4 of them. It was absolutely dreadful. I really should have gone by myself but I needed them there to try on stuff. It’s almost worth it to just buy the stuff, bring it home for them to try on, and return whatever doesn’t fit. All they did the entire time was gripe and whine. Is 3:15 too early for a cocktail?

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what is causing my site so many issues. Something is taking forever to load and it’s driving me up the wall. And then my host for 2 of my blogs went down for a few hours today causing all sorts of issues as I missed out on some paid posting opportunities. Oh, and I still haven’t had my coffee! And I haven’t gone to buy any yet either!

Waking up at 6:30 am only to find out it’s really 4:30 because somehow in the process of setting your alarm last night you messed up the time. Then you go into the kitchen to get your coffee that you prepared last night only to find that you forgot to prepare it. AND THEN you go to prepare said coffee (which, by the way, I hate to make coffee when I’m half asleep because I can’t make coffee until I’ve had coffee) only to find that you are OUT of coffee.

I just came online to check my email and enjoy my coffee only to find that I had nearly 4000 “could not deliver” type emails in my Gmail account. I have my gmail account set as the “catch all” for any mail going to an unknown email address for this domain. It looks as if someone is sending spam mail using whatever@java-girl.org. I went in to my cpanel and changed the catch all address to an email on java-girl.org and set the quota to 1mb. I hope this solves my problems. Damn, all I wanted was to drink my coffee in peace. I just spent the past 30 minuntes combing through to make sure I don’t miss any legit email. (P.S. Elizabeth I got yours and I’ll reply later this afternoon). Now I’ve got to get the kids up and get ready for Sunday School.
