I’ve got chills. Check out the brand new trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! Man, it looks soooo good. This Can’t wait to see Ron playing Quidditch and all the romance and other teenage angsty stuff. I may have to reread this one soon. After I finish the Twilight series, of course. I just started Eclipse and have Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun waiting in the wings.

The trailer will be shown on the big screen before the Twilight on 11-21. Enjoy!

Why oh why do we have to wait until next summer??? This should be coming out NEXT MONTH.

I just don’t even know what to say about this. The release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince is being moved from November 2008 to July 2009.

Muggles, get ready for some bad news: There will be no Harry Potter movie this year.

In a surprise move, Warner Bros. has moved back the release date of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” from Nov. 11 to July 17, 2009.

In a statement, Warner president Alan Horn said part of the reason for the shift was the writers strike, which left the studio in a bit of a dearth of tentpoles.

“Like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films — changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of,” he said. “We agreed the best strategy was to move ‘Half-Blood Prince’ to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.”

The studio had hoped to have movies like super-hero group “JLA” ready for the summer season, though that movie ultimately was delayed indefinitely.

Warner released the last Potter movie, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” July 11, 2007, and it became the second-largest entry from the series after the first movie.

The studio said it still plans to release the two-movie adaptation of the final book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows,” as planned, with the first part still on for November 19, 2009.

“Half-Blood,” which translates the sixth book to the big screen, is being directed by David Yates. According to the studio, post-production was been completed on time.

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter) is currently filming the movie Cherry bomb which is set to be released next summer.

It’s just a teaser but it’s enough to get me even more excited. Hopefully, the official trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be out soon!

A nice batch of movie stills from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince were released to the Harry Potter Fan Sites over the past couple of days. I think I’m going to need to break out my copy of HPB and give it a re-read. I am so excited for this movie!

Have any of you read the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyers? Well, if you haven’t they are a series of books about teenage vampires and some people are even calling them the “next Harry Potter”.

I am a huge HP fan and nothing could ever replace those books for me. I am in the middle of reading the first Twilight book and so far so good. I don’t think it’s better than HP though.
