My husband saw this story on the news last night and wanted me to look it up and read about it. I’ve got just one thing to say. This punk needs his ass beat. OMG, I can’t stand him. Somebody made this game called Slap Corey Delaney. LMAO…I’m so addicted! Slap slap slap…

Scandals, scandals everywhere! Even within the scrapbooking community.

Kristina Contes won a prestigious scrapbooking award and had her title revoked because the photo in the layout was taken by her friend. That’s not really the scandal, though. The work had to be completely your own and they have to stick to the rules. I completely understand that. What is so crazy about this whole thing is the way she was treated by the scrapbooking community.

Here’s some good quotes from it that gave me a little chuckle.

Disgruntled scrapbookers besieged the Creating Keepsakes chat room threatening to cancel subscriptions, boycott and sue. Scrapbooking bloggers called it “Hall of Fame-Gate,” naming it the top scrapbooking scandal of 2007. They compared it to the performance-enhancing-drug controversies involving major league baseball player Barry Bonds and Olympic track star Marion Jones. Someone wrote that Contes was as polarizing a figure as Martha Stewart.

The Lindsay Lohan of scrapbooking? Come on now, that is funny stuff, peoples!

I have seen so many catfights on the internet so this really doesn’t surprise me. When I was making soap I visited soapmaking forums. Oh my, them girls can thrown down over a stinky bar of soap. Just rip each other to hell and back. Then I got involved in an American Idol fan forum and experienced first hand the drama that goes along with that. Backstabbing, gossip, name calling…you name it.

Now if you’re a scrapper don’t go gettin’ all upset with me. I’m not poking fun at scrapbooking. I truly admire the work that goes into creating this type of art. I just think the whole internet bully thing is getting out of hand here.

OK, I am now sufficiently freaked out.

If you are into doll collecting you probably already know about these dolls. They are called “reborns” and they are extremely realistic looking newborn baby dolls. But they aren’t just your typical plastic dolly. There are actually women out there who spend tons of money on these babies. They buy them clothes, take them around town in strollers, change their little diapers, feed them fabric softener in a baby bottle because it looks like real milk. It’s so insane! Don’t get me wrong…I totally understand people who spend money on collecting things like stamps, coins, antiques, and, yes, DOLLS, but to treat it as if it’s a real person? I just can’t relate.

Recently over in the UK a documentary was aired about these Reborn babies and the people who love them like they are real babies. You can actually watch all 5 parts of the fake baby documentary called “My Fake Baby” on YouTube. I found it to be very disturbing.
