September Blogging Income Report
As promised here is a detailed list of what I made off my websites last month. I know it’s not as much as the A-listers but since it’s about double what I normally make I thought I’d share. I enjoy reading these reports on other blogs because it inspires me which is exactly what I want my report to do for you.
Total September earnings: $684.39
As you can see, it’s really not that much but without this money I wouldn’t have been able to buy our Hannah Montana tickets, go to Starbucks a few times, treat my family to a nice dinner out so I wouldn’t have to cook, even worse…clean up after cooking, oh and yeah, I was able to pay my car note with my blogging money. That’s kind of a good thing.
Here’s a little break down of the above companies….
Sponsored Reviews: I actually enjoy working with Sponsored posts. When I can get jobs from them, that is. Once your site is accepted into their program you can browse the available opportunities and “bid” on them. The advertiser then visits your site and decides if you are a good match for their opp. Well, alot of them want a lot of work for very little money and they want sites with higher page ranks. Since this site is a PR 2 these jobs are few and far between. They pay out every 2 weeks and are very reliable in doing so. Just wish they would approve more of my bids!
Bloggerwave: This company is fairly new to the game and I have only done three $10 sponsored posts for them over the past several months. Keep waiting for things to pick up.
v7n Contextual: Another company where you have to wait for them to send you opps. The thing I like about them is the fact that they pay within a few days of completing the opp. If you can get one from them. I’ve only done about 4 over the past several months.
PayU2Blog: Out of all the paid blogging companies I’ve worked with, PayU2Blog is by far my fave! They are super duper reliable and all the ops are quick and easy. They also do a weekly banner drawing video and a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win. PU2B is the best!
Pay Per Post: Pay Per Post is probably the most popular of all the paid blogging companies. I could have doubled this amount if I’d really buckled down. I got a little bogged down with GGC last month and really slacked off. Lately there have been so many low paying opps I’ve kinda blown them off. I also hate the fact that they do not pay you until the post has been on your site for 30 days. Need to get over myself and do my quota of 3 per day!
Google Adsense: OK. I’ve been tinkering with Google Adsense off and on for the past couple of years not really having any clue at all as to what I was doing. When I opened GGC, I decided to attempt to monetize it with Adsense. I did a little research, learned a little SEO and managed to get a nice flood of consistent traffic to GGC. 85% of the money I made from Adsense came from GGC. Just to give you an idea, the month of August, I made around $4.00. They don’t payout until your account reaches $100. I know $109.56 is not much compared to some sites but I am extremely happy about the fact that I will be receiving my very first Adsense check in a few weeks! I’ll post a pic! Woot!
Text Link Ads: Once your site is approved by TLA they will attempt to sell links to be placed on your site. I’ve only sold 1 link on GGC so far. Hopefully, more will follow soon once it gets some page rank. One way to make good money with TLA is not just by having their links on your site but by referrals. They pay a $25 flat fee to you for everyone that signs up under your referral ID and gets approved into the program. Guess I better get busy and start pushing those referrals! So why don’t you help me and sign up with Text Link Ads right now!
Kontera: Kontera is a contextual link program that places text link ads within your blog posts or articles. Once you are approved they will send you the code you need for these links to show up. If you go to GGC then you will see the orange links with the double underline. Everytime someone clicks on these links I get a little change. It adds up! Some sites make a lot of money using this program. They key is to have lots of content so that they can provide the ad links. Some people find it a bit annoying, though. Also, like Adsense, they don’t payout until your account reaches $100. I have quite a ways to go. I just started using the program a couple of weeks ago so hopefully I’ll hit that goal next month. I haven’t added it here yet but as soon as I upgrade to WP 2.3 I plan to install the Kontera plugin so that I can control which posts I want to use Kontera in. Pay Per Post doesn’t like Kontera links in their posts.
Goals for October.
Work the hell out of PayPerPost! I know the paid posts are annoying but here’s a tip…if you read me via RSS you won’t see most of them.
Pimp Text Link Ad referrals as much as possible. $25 is a lot of money. I have seriously been missing the boat on this one. And remember if you sign up and get approved then you can sign people up too. Then we all make money. Yay for making money!
Manage my time better. See, I have these 5 other people that live in my house and they will NOT leave me alone. I have very limited time to spend on my blogs and I get so distracted by email, and reading Perez Hilton that I don’t get done what needs to get done. This has to change right now if I want to make this work. I’ve got to make better use of my time.
Finish up my new projects! I have recently registered a few new domains and I need to get those up and running. I have 2 more entertaiments blogs and a blogging for money blog on the horizon.
Now, if I could just get someone to clean my house and take care of my 4 children then maybe I could some things done. I need a nanny!
This is the longest blog post ever! Congrats for making it all the way to the end!

Been waiting all weekend for this one..thanks for spelling all that out! That is some serious cash. It’s no $20,000 (gosh, wouldn’t THAT be nice), but $700 is a lot of money to have in your back pocket. I really think I’m going to have to give up BlogHer so I can do these PPP stuff. Don’t you think I’d be crazy not to?
Congrats on your windfall. I think you are headed in the right direction.
Alright, talk to me.
What SEO tips did you learn?
Wow! Congratulations! That IS inspiring. I haven’t been doing what I could do either. I need to really start hitting it hard. Yay! I am so happy for you.
Yah, I’m with BusyMom.. share girl! I just signed up for PayU2Blog and Google Adsense (still not sure how that one works, but i’m tryin) about 2 weeks ago. I’ve made $40 with PU2B so far, and am looking at joining other services. I have about 30 more days to go before I qualify for PayPerPost. So.. c’mon dish.. what have you learned? Any tips, tricks or hints you wanna share? I’ll spring for the coffee LOL.
Lemme tell you my first month I was making things like 64 dollars. So you are doing really well. I can tell you, every month I’ve made a little bit more than the last so it works out for the best! Congratulations on those earnings.
Awesome !!! You are an insperation.
I signed up for TLA under you. I hope that helps.
P.S. I like your theme.
You are totally rocking…wish I can make that kinda money!
