Happy Halloween, y’all.

Welcome to the House of Chocolate. Oh. MY. God. I have never seen so much candy in my entire life. Maddie’s best friend invited us to go Trick or Treating in her neighborhood tonight and let me tell you, that “hood” knows how to do Halloween. All the houses were decorated with scary stuff and everyone was having parties in their carport for the kids. So much fun! I think we walked about 5 miles, though. My legs are killing me. I’m going to have to hide all this candy. Between 4 kids there’s about 20lbs of the stuff here. I kid you not.

Even though I’m physically exhausted, I’m wide awake. Think all that chocolate has anything to do with it? That’s ok because I have plenty to do. I want to do a little research for one of my online projects and catch up on my blog reading.

Stay tuned for my October Blogging Income report in the next couple of days. While I didn’t make as much as I did last month, I hit some major milestones and can’t wait to share them.

I saw the trailer for August Rush tonight and got chills. Man, this movie looks so good! First of all, it’s got Keri Russell in it and if you’ve known me for any length of time then you should remember what a HUGE Felicity fangirl I was back in the day. Right, Amy? Scott Foley was my dream man fo sho. But now? Meh. I don’t watch The Unit. Not my type of show. To me he’ll always be Noel Crane.

This movie was filmed right here in my town! Katie, Tom and little Suri were spotted all around town during the filming. From what I heard, Katie was in Target quite a bit. As much as I’m in Target, I never spotted them. I can’t wait to see this movie, though. I love me some Queen Latifah. Diane Keaton and Ted Danson also star.

I have lots going on in my little bloggy universe these days. Some of it’s still in my head and I don’t want to talk about it right now and some of it is a work in progress and isn’t ready to be shared yet. Not sure exactly what is happening with me but it seems like all these light bulbs have been going off in my head like crazy lately and I feel like I’m bursting. It’s all good, though. I really love it but I do feel so overwhelmed at times. Between the demands of my family (which always comes first) and my housekeeping duties (which I never put first. yuck.) I’m finding it hard to find the time I need to work on my projects. Like for instance, as I type this I have my 9 year old reading over my shoulder and someone calling my name from another room. How do work at home moms do it? I guess those that can afford it have maids and nannies to make life easier. I haven’t quite gotten to that point yet.

My tv show blog is going great. So far for the month of October it has gotten over 111,000 hits and 60,000+ unique visitors! Google finally gave me some page rank of 3 too! Was hoping for a 4 but I’m very happy with a 3. Everyday I’m continuing to rank in the top 5 results on Google for most of the major keyword phrases. I’ve also been accepted into some great affiliate programs like iTunes and Shopzilla which are turning out to be some great money makers. I hate to sound like I’m bragging but I’m just so happy with out it has turned out.

P.S…I hope to launch that project I can’t talk about within the next week so stay tuned!

Yesterday, while Hubs and I were out hunting down the Nintendo Wii, we looked at HD TVs. My husband was drooling like an idiot over these. He wants one so badly but unless we win the lottery it ain’t gonna happen. Of course, the one we fell in love with was over $3,000. LMAO! We had the best time fantasizing about sitting in our newly built mansion watching that big TV and munching on fresh popcorn from one of those home theater popcorn machines. Dreaming is fun! I highly suggest it to everyone.

Finally the cooler temps have arrived here in the deep south and I am so happy. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. Snuggling under blankets, drinking hot chocolate, baking lots of goodies…all fun stuff. I don’t even mind the shorter days. The one thing I don’t like about Fall is Halloween. I hate to say it but I am not a fan of this holiday. Never have. As a child I hated dressing up. Of course, I have 4 kids and they get into it big time so I have to just suck it up and suffer. This year should be fun though. We are going over to Maddie’s best friends house and going trick or treating her neighborhood. Hardly anybody in our neighborhood leaves their outdoor lighting on and you know the rule…if the porch light is off then they aren’t participating. I’m just so ready to get it all over with. Ick.

I am not happy with how my blog is looking at all these days! It seems that every template I try just looks half-assed and I don’t have a lot of time anymore to play on Wordpress like I used to. Remember how I used to change up my template all the time and it actually looked good?

I’m actually liking this one except I need to change the colors and make a logo image. Maybe add a cute background. Hell, I don’t know. I wish I could afford to have someone design it for me but I don’t.

Speaking of money…. We bought a Nintendo Wii yesterday! Well, we didn’t actually buy it. My mother in law gave us the kids’ Christmas money early and we were lucky enough to snag one. I say lucky because we searched all over town and everyone was out. Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart? OUT. Our last stop was Target and we couldn’t believe it but they had 2! I’m so excited that we got it. I keep hearing nothing but rave reviews. Maybe I’ll become one of those savvy gaming moms now.

I’m not a regular watcher of Dancing With the Stars but I do watch the dance routines every Tuesday morning over at Rickey.org. I love Rickey’s, btw. Anyway, I popped in last night and was shocked to read that Marie Osmond fainted after her performance. Poor Marie! I loved her Samba. She’s really doing a great job on the show. I was a huge fan of Donny and Marie when I was a kid. I hope she’s ok.

Once again, I have let the holidays slip up on me. I’m not ready and I probably won’t be ready until the last final minute. It’s aways so stressful trying to provide a good Christmas for 4 kids who have lists a mile long. I do feel that this year will be a little easier, though. This is the first Christmas since Maddie and Jacob admitted they didn’t believe in Santa. So now that they know that we are Santa maybe they’ll understand that Santa doesn’t have a money tree growing in his backyard and can’t get them every single thing they want. Jacob keeps talking about some RC airplanes he wants and Maddie just wants clothes and shoes. Abby and Caroline on the other hand? Well, they are 6. They want it all.
