Well the boys finally showed us why they were picked to be on American Idol. Thanks goodness because after last week I was not excited about the show at all. Here’s a quick rundown of my thoughts and opinions in no particular order.

Phil- I thought Phil did a great job. I wish he hadn’t gone first though. I forgot all about him by the end of the show. But hey, somebody’s gotta go first.

Chris Sligh- OK first I just have to say this. I was shocked that his wife is such a hottie. There I said it. Call me shallow, call me whatever you want but I was absolutely SHOCKED. With that being said, I LOVED his performance.

Chris Richardson- OK his dedication to his cute little country Grandma won major points with me. I wasn’t too impressed with his song. His movements are weird to me but he will make top 12. I hope Grammy gets to come to Hollywood to see him perform!

Sundance- Thank God Sundace is back. Great performance.

Blake- I’m becoming a Blake fan. Didn’t like him in the beginning but he is really starting to win me over. Loved his song.

Jared- is so damn cute. He was pretty good. Doubt he’ll make Top 12

Nick- Booooooring.

Brandon- Bye bye baby. Too bad because I really liked your audition and I think you are cute.

A.J- I LOVE AJ! However, he will not make the top 24 because someone with no talent but a huge online fanbase will.

Sanjaya- OK, it’s Kevin Covais all over again. This kid is horrible. He needs to go. He will make the top 12. He has a massive online fanbase and has won over many a heart. Teenage girls are powervoting for him like mad. It’s going to be sad because a much more talented contestant will not make the Top 12 because of him. Please America. Stop voting for Sanjaya!

Gina posted about Maya’s Mom yesterday and, being the follower that I am, I decided to sign up. All I have to say is that within minutes of joining I started getting comments and friend requests from other moms on right after another. Very warm and welcoming site! You can also put in your RSS feed and all of your blog entries will be imported and show up in your Maya’s Mom journal automatically. I still need to add some stuff to my profile but you can find me here.

I’m so happy Friday is finally here. No homework, no rushing around to get the kids in bed early, no getting up at the ass crack of dawn to nag nag nag on the kids to button your shirt, put on that sock, hurry up and eat your breakfast, blah di blah di blah……It’s gets sooo old! Trying to get 4 kids up, dressed, fed, and off to school ain’t no walk in the park. I don’t care how organized you think you are. So yeah, I’m happy to have a little break from that.

Ok, so I haven’t posted my latest AI thoughts. I loved the top 12 girls. They blew the guys away. Definitely think it’s a girl’s year to win. Not loving Gina’s little attitude though. A bit cocky for my blood. I think I’m going to pull for Sabrina. Sister can sang for sure. As for the eliminations I was sad to see Rudy go. Wasn’t expecting that one. I really wanted to hear more from him. As for the other 3…toodles! Back to oblivion you go!

I have to say that I was very disappointed in last night’s show. Nobody stood out. Nobody wowed me. Nobody had that “IT” factor, ya know? Blake was pretty good but I didn’t care for his song. Phil’s voice is great but his HEAD and EARS are a major distraction for me. I keep remembering last year this time when Ace came on and sang Father Figure and was just so freaking awesome I about lost my damn mind. Nobody did that.

The girls better bring it or this year is doing to be a snoozer.

Last night was a monumental night in our household. I allowed something to happen that I’ve been avoiding like the plague. After months of begging I finally allowed my 8 year old daughter to have a friend sleepover. It’s not that I don’t like her little friends it’s just that I’ve got 4 damn kids and every night is a freakin sleepover around here ya know? Anyway, so I finally said yes and it went ok. The Hubs basically just hid from them all night. He really didn’t want any part of it. He took Jacob to see A Night At The Museum and when they got back at 11:45 everyone was asleep. He was so happy about that. But I was like, Honey, you have 3 little girls. This is what girls do. Deal with it. His attitude is also one of the reasons I’ve been avoiding it. But it’s not fair when she gets invited to spend the night all the time and we never have any one over. So he sucked it up and stopped being a self centered ass for one night.

So now I have to keep my promise and take them to get some Krispy Kreme donuts.

Hubs ain’t getting shit.

I read the book about 5 years ago and remember just loving it. Now there’s a movie coming out!

First of all, I did not like it that the Hollywood rounds consisted of only one episode. Second of all, I am not really gung ho over anyone yet. I really liked Sundance’s original audition but last night he sounded awful. That was a disappointment. There are only a couple of girls I’m pulling for right now. One is the 2nd half of the “Best Friends”, Antonella. I was so glad her little diva friend was cut and not her. She seems to really have her head on straight. I am also liking Gina Glockson (the rocker chick). She made it to Hollywood last year but messed up her song and her room was cut. As for the other guys I really like Brandon Rogers but they didn’t show him singing last night. Chris Sligh is another one I’m pulling for (chubby funny guy with the fro).

I read AI spoilers and I already know who the top 24 is.? A lot of them we haven’t even seen yet.

I got one today and went and bought a pair of chunky knitting needles. I am going to attempt to re-teach myself to knit again. I have a stash of cheapo yarn from my 3 month knitting stint 3 years ago.

Today I am also going to attempt to start decluttering this nasty house. It’s a small house and we outgrew is a long long time ago. The kids bring home so much crap from school it’s unreal so there are stacks of papers everywhere. I have no where to put anything. I need shelving and organizing containers but with a limited budget that makes it hard. Laundry is also huge problem here. The main problem being that I absolutely loathe folding clean laundry and putting it away. Not a pretty sight.

I also went around and took some pictures of my messes to show Friglet what a real messy house looks like. She posted pics of her mess and all I could do was giggle. Sista ain’t seen nothin’! I shall be posting those sometime later today. You all will feel so much better about yourselves when you see them.
